Deek,
We'd love to attend Hoots III if we can fit it into our travel schedule. We'll be cruising the Mid West before and after the FMCA in Madison (Jul 29-Aug 2). Longing to see our new Hoots friends again. Had such a blast at Hoots II. Love you guys!
Aloha y'all,
Lloyd

Well ... Do fit us in, Lloyd - we love you just as much as you love the Hoots. It's just a hoot that we're all Hoots!

And yes, don't forget the Ancient Hawaiian Grilled Pork Tenderloin Recipe. The one you told us was faithfully handed down to you from your ancestors. Wherever it really comes from does not matter; it is superlative.

Cheers -

Deek

The axle swap was done in 2004. You should have the 13,200# axle as I remember. That was what Newmar first wanted to put in but Spartan said why not the 14,600 as it was about the same cost and had a sharper wheel cut which I needed to get in beside the house. When they were doing the install they realized the steering box worked the opposite of the OEM one and also had to replace it.
Spartan had the rig in their shop for a week and they looked the whole chassis over. Newmar had made no structural changes that would require the lower rear axle rating.

Deek and JoJo / 2015 Dutch Star 4369

Today we placed our order for our 2015 Dutch Star 4369!

We've been working on the planning since October. It will be a very nicely equipped coach with lots of terrific Specials. Spent a lot of time researching and getting advice from present '15 owners so that we could cover all the bases as best as we possibly could. As with our 2013 Dutch Star, we found the friendliness and helpfulness of other Newmar owners who have similar coaches in this floor plan to be invaluable in our efforts to make this a great coach. Many kind people were instrumental in the process, especially FLSteve, Swag and Jigsup. Thanks to all who helped.

We are satisfied that we got all we wanted in the final order. Dealer is Midway in Grand Rapids. Outstanding people to work with. A real group effort with them. And a very competitive price.

And of course, our Patron Saint at Newmar, Michelle Howard, took fabulous care of us. As always, Michelle steered us in the right direction when we needed her to and she had excellent insight into styling choices. She is just a huge asset to those of us who have an order to noodle out with Newmar. The depth of her knowledge is amazing.

Will post details of our choices once I recover from the excitement! Delivery at this point will most likely be in late June or early July.

Can't wait to show our new DS 4369 to everyone at Hoots III.

Deek

Congrats you two.

When we took the tour a little while back, I ask Michelle if you two were back in the planning stages.

She just smiled, so I just waited for the announcement.

I can't wait to look it over at Hoots III. I really like that floor plan.

Deek ... sure hope you got the big awnings and lots of LED lightning so all the Hoots can sit along side and eat Lloydu's Hawaiian pork and Bill Hunt's spicy sausage until the wee hours of the morning!
