Seriously? Are you saying if you were offered a better job for more money you'd turn it down? I seriously doubt it. [mod edit]

I'm sure the gentleman in question was getting way more than he needed to live on, and took another job, paying more, because people are usually greedy.
And yes, I would turn it down. I quit a job paying almost $40 an hour 2 years before I was eligible for retirement. And, you judged me, based on your thoughts and opinions.

Kind of like how you judged the departing president?

Just because someone takes a job that pays more, doesn't mean they're doing it only for the money. Or, even if they did, that that's a bad thing. Who are we to judge how someone else values their time vs. their money?

To keep it on topic, plenty of people switch jobs in this country. Often for a bigger, better, more interesting challenge (which possibly comes with more money). I hope in this transition Newmar is able to attract someone with a love of the RV industry and an ability to see the opportunity to bring in truly world-class quality to an already well-respected brand. High quality appropriate for the price level is a cost savings venture for a manufacturer, and it always makes me sad to realize that the RV industry, as a whole, still seems stuck in the decades-old mentality that you have to abandon basic quality in the pursuit of lower cost, when it's usually the opposite.

My apologies for what folks considered offensive. It is/was not my intent to make any kind of offensive response.

Never know what is discussed or goes on behind close door board meetings. I sat through a number of them, there are times when they are not pleasant. Lots of reasons someone would leave, who's to judge.

If anyone from Newmar is watching this forum >>>> I'll throw my hat into the ring. Just sayin
