My Newmar Kountry Klub dues are coming due this month? Why do I want to renew this ?

The hubby took care of all these things, and is this a good subcription.

Hi Happymi,
There are different renewals for the NKK organization.

The first is the annual national membership dues. Like any Klub, if you use it, it will be worth it. Will you maintain a chapter membership? Will you go to chapter, state, region or national rallies? Will you attend any special events? Your membership fee allows you to participate in NKK activities.

The second is the renewal for the hard copy NKK Konnection Magazine. You can get the online version for free. Some like the online and some like the hard copy. The hard copy costs more $s. The subscription is $15/year for 6 hard copy issues.

The third renewal is for a chapter you may belong to. Dues are decided on by each chapter.

Hello Happymi, Gary said evrything about the renewals. We like the membership and the HARDKOPY. We think it is a great membership. We belong to some "local" Klubs and we like the friendship among members, just like here among the iRV2 fellows. As long as we drive a NEWMAR Motorhome, we'll keep the membership in good standing....

It's the opportunity when it presents itself to meet and talk with other Newmar owners. I enjoy the magazine and am saddened that current conditions required a reduction in issues. It also represents, I believe, support to Newmar and the Newmar owners family.

NKK Life, FMCA, Gold Dust Travelers, Spartan Chassis International, iRV2, and etc.

What has been said by others it 100% true. Where else can you go and have every one there with a Newmar Product.
Got a problem, someone at the rally will have the answer and more than likely will offer to help you fix the problem. Who better than someone who has a RV like yours. That's why every one should join their MFG clubs.
It good to belong to other clubs, but most of us use the other clubs as social groups.

I am a new owner of Newmar coach. I just joined KK while I was in Nappanee, Nov 09. The KK web site is anemic and for New Mexico it is not even updated. Hmmm, I hope I will get value. I will attend the annual rally, but would love to attend local rallies.

Hi JoMar,

Your best view of all rallies is the Konnection Magazine. The back section of the magazine contains the calendar of rallies, at all levels, for many months in advance. It is online as well as hard copy. Did you subscribe to the hard copy magazine. Try looking at the online version first. If this is not satisfactory, you can via the NKK web site, subscribe to the hard copy magazine. You can also call the NKK office to subscribe.

You are correct, the NKK web site data is frequently stale. Like other klubs, the NKK is run by volunteers with a very small paid staff. When interviewing for new volunteer staffed positions, I have asked the NKK leadership to include questions about the applicant's view of the importance of the Internet and their commitment to a frequency of updates. This must start at the top and work its' way down the chain of command. International Directors, Region Directors, State Directors and Chapter Officers is the chain of command.

Editorial Comment: When the hard copy of the Konnection was published monthly the Internet was updated on the same frequency. Now that the Konnection is published every other month, the frequency of web site updates has followed that time line. This is a mental problem with those who author the data that updates the Konnection magazine and the web site. It will take strong leadership to ensure people in the above mentioned positions understand current web site content will be the life blood of member participation.

New Mexico has a NKK chapter known are the Chile Peppers a real good group and over in Arizona is another great brunch call the Sun Catchers. Both groups have rallies coming up in the next couple of months. Right now I am not at the MH but the Sun Catchers have a rally in Quartzsite, AZ 1/21-24/2010 right after the Newmar Gathering in the Desert 1/14-17/2010.
Also look in the back of the mag for Rallies. On the web site you got to play around to fine all the rallies and luncheon/breakfast groups.

Your comments were most helpful. I sent an e-mail to the New Mexico KK leaders who were very nice. He shared with me a list of 2010 local rallies that we plan to attend. I also plan to attend the Goshen rally. Hope to see you there. Thanks again for your help.
