Newmar Overhaul and Repaint

Has anyone taken their coach to Newmar for a complete overhaul/servicing?

Also has anyone taken their coach to Newmar for bodywork and a complete repaint? I had an unfortunate accident with an automatic gate that closed while I was driving through - almost every panel has damage and it punched a hole in one compartment door. I'd appreciate hearing about anyone's experience with bodywork at Newmar, particularly what it cost. I know it is expensive and I have asked my insurance company to contact Newmar for a quote.

It was a horrible experience.

You should also check with NIRVC. They have state-of-the-art painting facilities and work with your insurance company.

Newmar is very proud of their painting services. If your insurance will pay for it, they'll do a good job.

We had our Essex repainted at Newmar and they did a outstanding job. It is major job with removing everything from the coach and then replacing. The color we choice and their paint work made it like a new coach. If in California Onextreme does a excellent job repainting our 18 LA.

I had some damage to the side of the coach a few years back. NIRV in Dallas quoted one price which I thought was extreme so I decided to have Newmar do the work. My insurance did not care who did the work after they paid the claim based on NIRV's estimate. Newmar did a great job as NIRV would have too but took less time. The paint rate was same as the normal rate for service.

There is a great shop near you in Santa Clarita. They've done some paint work on two of my coaches and I've sent three or four others there who loved the quality and workmanship. It's a large shop in an industrial area right off I-5 at Hwy 126.

They have a secure facility and can house many RV's inside their building. They're pricey, but I'm guessing less than Newmar. They would be close enough that you could drive to do inspections as the work progresses.
