Note that all 2023 Newmar Baystars have a fiberglass roof. Per their literature, “ ….a one-piece fiberglass roof with molded radius wraps is a standard feature.”

My 2019 BSS has a TPO roof and I’m glad. My last coach had fiberglass and it suffered from several stress cracks. In my opinion TPO simply is a better and more modern roofing material.

The fiberglass roof was an option on my 99 Dutch Star .
Are you asking about new coaches or used , because the fiberglass roof has been an option for years.
For used units you have to get eyes on the roof or the build sheet.

Another recent post of his states he's looking for a used 2017-2020.
I'd suggest he look at the specs literature when he finds one he's interested in buying. Just do a Google for the "Newmar, specs, year, model" and he can learn all about the RV.

A fiberglass roof was an option on some models, the other option being TPO or equivelent. We saw both on Canyon Stars we looked at. If you call Newmar customer service with the VIN and the Newmar serial number, they will send yiu the original build sheet fo the coach. Worth doing because there are so many available options. You can also ask the salesman or owner to photograph the build list hanging inside one of the BR closets and in the Newmar Folder with manuals. That list won't have prices, but will tell you what equipment is on the coach. Also ask for a photo of the yellow weight sticker by the drivers seat and do not rely on the brochure as the buildout with options is usually heavier.

You didn't mention the year so here is a link to the Newmar archive and you can tell which year/models had a fiberglass roof.

Just an opinion but I would not hesitate to consider a Newmar with Britetech roof.
I've had fiberglass previously and maint & leaks were a problem needing care.
The Britetech is a really good material and is as clean as the FG I had.

I agree with the Britetech roof recommendation. Our 2007 Bay Star has the Britetech roof and it is still it great condition and cleans up well with nominal effort.
