Newmar Satellite TV Options

We are in the process of ordering for a 2019 Baystar. My initial intent was to order the Winegard In Motion Dome Satellite dish. We currently have a summer home with DirecTV and take a receiver and use it in our current RV. I have seen some postings that suggest that DirecTV will stop the SD service soon and this is the only DirecTV service that Winegard satellite dishes can receive. I contacted Winegard and this is what they said: "DirecTV has not provided us with any information regarding any transition they may be performing to their satellites, until they do we do not know exactly how our systems will be impacted." Has anyone else seen information about this? I would prefer not to switch to Dish Network in my house but this may be the best option. Is DirecTV Now a good option? That would save the money on a satellite receiver but would require some additional equipment to amplify the wifi signal. I would be concerned about bandwidth/speed to get a good picture. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

According to what Directv has published, in motion dome-type dishes will not work with Directv after next year. If you have the choice of an open dish such as the Winegard Travler, this would be your best bet. They get all Directv HD stations so you would not be impacted by any changes to the SD signals.

Forget any Winegard domes. They will not work with Direct HD. Also forget Winegard Travler. There just too fragile. RFMogul might be a bit more expensive, but at least they canmbe serviced without shipping back to Winegard.
