Nothing is out as to options chassis or coach its to early and changes will be made I am sure as the market for the SS dictates and feedback from owners to management at rallies like the HOOT's or NKK, its happen over the years with other Newmar coach's.

I don’t have any super-c driving experience, only full class A driving (notcomfort drive). I am very familiar with the difficulty of handling the “big box” on the road, and whenever the “next” RV makes its way to my world, one way or another it will be a unit with much better handling. Thanks for the perspective on the default handling to be expected of the M102 chassis family

It will likely be the 350Hp with 1,000LBFT of torque Cummins ISC. I had one a few years ago in a Super C and it was a great engine except for the emissions junk.

Any new info on the Super Star? I see North Trail has some listed as coming in.

Anybody hearing any kind of news or projected release date for the superstar? Am a little disappointed in lack of update, its September and all other models have had 2020 updates published/known for awhile. Am just very interested to see more official info, much like an 8 yr olds anticipation on Christmas morning. Thanks in advance for tolerating the senseless rambling.

There is one sitting outside the service center. It is a propane version, as it has a propane heater on the exterior wall. That seems to indicate that it is a lower end version possibly

There is no M2-120 that I am aware of. The M2 come in two models, the 106 with The L9 and the 112 that has the L9 chipped up to 450 HP. The SC2RV does have the ISB and is a different chassis completely and falls under Freightliner Custom Coach Chassis whole the M2 does not fall under FCCC. Tganks

Spoke with Newmar rep last week. Multiple units waiting for dispatch to NT in Ft. Myers Fl. They were hoping to be at NT by Labor Day. Assuming hurricane has delayed transport.

I hope Newmar sends it out with 450HP as most single axle Super C's do not turn the L9 up that high. For instance Renegade (Verona and Verona LE) are rated at 350HP and 1150 ft-lbs. Now if you were to order a Renegade Classic on an 112 chassis with dual axles, then you can get the 450/1250. Dynamax also sends out the L9 with 350/1000 on the DX3 and Force HD.

Dave, that's the same info I received from Newmar. They were supposed to ship to NT last Friday but Dorian pushed that to the right.

I also want to see the Supreme Aire!!! Let's go Newmar, spill the beans already!!!

What type of price range are these? I am hoping to see one at the Hoot's rally.

So today I got to see the very 1st SuperStar off the line. It was being worked on here in the service facility. I couldn’t really tell what engine was in it but this is more of the entry level Super C (in line with Canyon Star Ventana trim), and there were 2-3 Supreme Aires in the production facility. Was able to walk through one and it definitely has more of the luxury feel - like DS or MA. That thing was really a beast at 45’. There were no less than 20 techs working on it, and one told me it really is completely different “underneath” from a class A. I did notice the Oasis looked different - it was almost tan colored and had a different front panel with lots of led indicator lights. It had a name after it as well but can’t remember it. Pictures are off limits or I would have taken some. Both coaches definitely look like Newmars so there will be no mistaking them for SOB once they hit the road...

The tan colored Oasis was probably the AquaHot 450 used in the Verona LE.

I am guessing the slow down in getting 2020 models out is due to the slow down in Class A sales.

Newmar's late arrival could make them a winner if they have the good sense to beat other Super Cs with a 450HP L9, with 150/75/75 holding tanks, 2 75 gallon diesel tanks vs the others twin 50s, and build the SuperStars with at least 9,000 lbs of NCC like the Renegade Verona 36VSB has. (See the August 2019 FMCA magazine for the facts.)

The longer heavier Super Stars (40+ feet) can provide the same 9,000 NCC by simply ordering the M2 106 chassis with heavier duty front and rear axles. The performance can keep up with the 36' Verona by simply making the Cascadia 113 with DD13 (505 HP &1,850 lbs torque) an option like choosing a Freightliner or Spartan chassis for your 40+ foot Ventana and up RV. The same can be done for safety features like the ESC, axle locking, anti-roll, lane keeping, smart cruise/emergency braking, etc. options that are available from Freightliner. Review Freightliner truck info for full facts.

I have been spoiled by Newmar by the great Bay Star they build for me. It has been a struggle to not abandon hope that they will ever get SuperStars to the market that are better than the Renagade's Super Cs in power (chassis and engine choices), NCC, comfort, fuel and holding tanks, and choice of safety features from Freightliner. I currently like the Ventana 3717 but is still made with the whimpy B6.7 engine, and smaller brakes, wheels, tires compared to similar weighing DSDP and NADP models. In addition, the 2020 Ventana 3717 is over 900 lbs heavier with less NCC. The Verona 36VSB beats it in terms of power (L9 350HP and 1,150 torque) and NCC, but has a 76" king bed and single pane windows, easier engine access and more streamlined front end.
