Newmar's history and Vintage Newmars
The where were you with your Newmar today thread really shows some history at times with older Newmars. Also seeing older Newmars at CG's is interesting and nostalgic. I would love to see a section of their web site or a separate web site that goes back in time and shows the models across the years, the history, etc. Would be neat to see how RV's evolved over time at Newmar.
Who's running around with the oldest Newmar RV (MH or FW)??? Post your pics to this thread.

Newmar's brochure archive is an interesting place to start.

Looks like 1986 may have been the first "motorhome" after a couple years of trailer production.

It is a somewhat confusing history. For example, in 2004 Newmar made a Mountain Aire 5th wheel trailer, a Mountain Aire gas coach and a Mountain Aire diesel coach...

I'm, by no means, the oldest but I'm in - '97 LADP. Definitely unique.

The Old New Aire
Saw this at the very interesting Chamber of Commerce museum in downtown Nappanee. Apparently just a handfull of this old version of the New Aire were produced in the early 2000's. There may be some still on the road, perhaps an owner will post!

If you are ever in the Elkhart, IN are you should visit the RV/Motorhome Hall of Fame and Museum. You will see some incredible classics and vintage trailers, including Newmar founder Virgil Miller's custom Newmar Travel Trailer.
