NIRVC Lewisville Service - Have you been there?
Hi... Going to NIRVC in Lewisville, Texas for a service appointment next week and would appreciate any info on their service department, parking, nearby restaurants, etc, that anyone who has been there can share.
The only thing I was told over the telephone is that you park your coach in their campground and the techs come to you and work on your coach in the parking lot. One thing I wonder is whether or not they allow you to remain with your coach like they do allow in Building #42 in Nappanee. Any shared experiences will be very much appreciated! Thank you, Jeff...

NIRVC is in a somewhat industrial area but only a few miles from every known restaurant in the Northern Hemisphere. Lewisville is close to Grapevine and Flower Mound and both have a wide variety of very nice places to dine. Dallas is about 15 -20 miles from Lewisville and has world-class restaurants.
I've never had my RV serviced at NIRVC so I can't help with your other questions.

Twice I have camped in their parking lot during service. The first time, they worked on my coach in my camp spot. The second time, they moved it into the shop each morning and returned it in the afternoon.
They were willing to let us stay in the coach while they worked on it, but we mostly chose to leave. Our 2 cats did stay on board (crated) while we were out and they were very attentive to the temperature.
The parking spots are back-in, water and power but no sewer. There are dump stations located along the building, so if your there more than a few days, you can dump your tanks.
We checked out Frisco, a new suburb of Dallas and found plenty of restaurants.

You'll be pleased with the service you receive at NIRVC. Depending upon what you're having done will determine whether they need to bring your coach indoors to do it or otherwise do it in your parking location. Again, depending upon what type of service you're having performed will determine if you can remain on-site and sleep in your coach or if alternative arrangements, i.e. hotel will be required. Discuss with your NIRVC service advisor beforehand.
Also, be advised they recently moved the on-site service campground to the front area of the gated parking lot (rear and side of building) and you'll need to know the gate code if you plan to arrive after hours (your service advisor at NIRVC can provide you with the code, just call ahead).
As to the location, NIRVC (in Lewisville) is located on State Hwy 121 Bus but that's no issue in terms of restaurants, hotels, etc. all of which are close by. Traffic on I35N nearby and which you'll likely use in getting there can be horrendous at times particularly rush hours but its an easy in / out to get to/from NIRVC.
NIRVC is a platinum level Newmar Service Center and their techs are some of the best in the business. We greatly enjoy the "family culture" that is ever-apparent.

NIRVC Lewisville Service - Have you been there?
We had our slide mounts replaced at NIRVC back in May. It took them one day to repair, spent that day sight seeing and then decided to stay at a campground we found in Grapevine, Tx. Which was very nice. We only had to stay one night at NIRVC , it is a parking lot not a campground. You will be surprised how many M/H's that get shuffled around! Almost left with a new LA they had come in. DW put me in reality check, until I retire what we have DS is enough!

We're local and store our Canyon Star there. Yep, think RV parking lot versus camp ground. Service guys are great there. They are crazy busy.
Finally broke down and ordering a 2018 DS with them.....ha

Please allow me to correct myself having wrongly used the term "campground", as rightfully pointed out, its not (a campground), its intended overnight convenience parking for clients & guests of NIRVC. W&E only, albeit they do have separate dump & air stations on the opposite side of the building.

Good people at NIRV in Lewisville. Be aware that some of their camping spots are quite un-level, but they do have 50 amp electrical and there are a few water spigots along the back fence that you can use to top off your tank if need be.
You will be pleased with the service work done there.
