NKK International Rally

Thinking about attending the rally this fall in Syracuse, New York. It would be two adults and two kids attending. Are there activity geared toward all age groups or is it more towards retired folk?

Looking for experiences and opinions from people that attended rallies in the past and have children.

Bill

I think it may depend on the age of your children. The entertainment is probably geared towards our age bracket, and if your children are teens they may enjoy it. The seminars are all pretty much geared at the RV or RV lifestyle. There may be some craft type classes they might enjoy.

If they are young, there might be a challenge keeping them entertained. I don’t recall seeing any young children at the last two we attended.

Hi We_B_Tripn,
The International Rally is geared toward adults. TomandGloria's post hit the nail on the head. Consider calling the Klub at 877 639 5582. Ask if they can send you something that explains the tours that will be offered. The tours might be something the kids are interested in. Other than that it is adult stuff all the way.

Thank you both. I had planned on calling the office but figured a quick query here wouldn’t hurt.

Our kids are 11 and 9 so maybe too young. Never been to a rally so wasn’t sure if we could do some of our own things in the area easily and participate in onsite events where it was warranted or not.

The VA State Rally is in Ashland May 30- June 2. You might want to consider coming to our State Rally.

Bill, at a rally, you are not really tied to their schedule. You can hit the things you want and take side trips to other things in the area that interest you, but then why be at a rally at all? Most of the fun we have at rallys is just getting together with friends, old and new (which is pretty much what old people do). That said, thinking back to when my son was that age, I believe your children will be bored out of their heads by the time the rally is over.

I would love to but unfortunately we have a Girl Scout event that weekend. Maybe next time!

Thanks for the insight. Maybe this isn't the time to participate with NKK. I certainly don't want my kids bored for a week or to spend the money to attend only to not participate in events as much as I would like.
