No 12v To Thermostat '02 Kountry Star???

All simple things have been checked, fuses, breakers, etc. I have found in blogs that no 12v on Red lead of thermostat plug can be the other end in in the AC roof unit where it plugs into the interface. 'Gets corroded due to humidity... Has anybody dealt with this? Since Newmar does not have a grill below the AC units, I am guessing you must remove the AC on the roof to access this wiring?
Any help on this will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick & Deb Smith

Welcome to the forum.
Remove the control off wall or cabinet and checked the plug there first if you do not have there remove the AC cover and the wires will be plugged into control unit inside the AC unit.
In QT's 1 & 2 there are wiring diagrams for which ever control system you have.
All the links below in my signature have info for your coach.

This may be a stupid question, but what brand of air conditioner is it, Dometic / DuoTherms from that era tended to be 7.5VDC not 12V

Problem solved & more!!!

TO MY RV FRIENDS: As a long time RV'er, I always share info that could help my fellow Rv'ers... My 02 3560 had the thermostat in the hutch cabinet side wall. "NOT CONVENIENT!" I had to open the large slide to get to it. I now have it where it should have been placed from the factory, on the hallway wall. Well in the process I blew a fuse and had no 12vdc at the thermostat. I checked the 12vdc A/C fuse in the fuse panel, and the 110vac breaker. Both good. Oh crap what now! Well here is the secret. Up inside the front Roof A/C unit is a control box full of wiring and a circuit board. It has a little 3a fuse inside! Even though not my problem, there is also a telco style RJ11 plug on the end of the thermostat wire inside that control box. I read where it can get corroded and cause the same issues (FYI). And while you are on the roof with the cover off the A/C unit, clean the coils and lube the motor shaft on both ends. The lube will work it's way into the bronze bearings. FYI, I bet I blew out a pound of dirt from each A/C units coil assembly. I will also bet that has never been done! They blow like two hurricanes now! Due to what I have now learned about RV roof air units, I am glad I blew the fuse! It is just good you did not see this chubby guy with two bionic knees going up and down that 11.5" RV roof a zillion times!!! Between the repair and servicing both units I bet I saved $500...

Thanks. That is what Newmar told me when I contacted support. This has been a learning experience that may come in handy in the future...
