No DTV Satellite Signal at Main Front TV's
Anyone have an issue with the Satellite signal failing on some (2 of 4) TV's, but not all TV's? I own a 2020 DSDP 4369. Newmar told us when we built the coach they could split our Satellite signal into two branches. We chose to split the signal as follows: 1. Two front TV's ( the one over the cockpit and the main retractable TV behind the love seat on the passenger side), and 2. the outside TV and the bedroom TV. The main (large) Genie Control Receiver Box controls the front TV's. The secondary (small) Genie box Receiver controls the outside entertainment TV and the Bedroom TV.
Currently, the main Genie Receiver box in the front is not receiving or sending a signal to the two front TV's, but the small Genie box in the bedroom, that needs a functioning Main Genie box to piggyback the signal, is working fine.
I called the Service Rep hotline number at Newmar and received a wiring diagram of the system. It was suggested that the HDMI Splitter (part no. 161-820) may have failed. (I could not find this part on the attached drawings). I am not 100% sure of its location, but I think this box is behind the kitchen sink. And I would need a way to test this HDMI splitter box to determine if that is truly the problem. When I look at the drawing I do not see the potential failure point based on the above signal loss to only the front 2 TV's.
At this point I don't know who to call for a repair, short of making the 8 hour trip to Nappanee, IN. Maybe.. Best Buy Geek Squad, or Winegard?
Any experience or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
BobbyJ

HDMI connectors we're a terrible design because they don't lock in place. On our 2014 DS, I constantly had issues with them coming loose from the splitters. I finally bought some locking devices that could be added to the connectors. I also had one of the splitters fail, which is NOT uncommon.
On my 2014 DS, the splitters were in the entertainment cabinet. On my 2019, they're in the pass thru bay. I heard on newer coaches they were under the sink. The splitter is about the size of a deck of cards and is powered.

On our Coach they are under the kitchen sink on the back wall. There are two that are stacked. As Don said they are powered. We had a power supply go bad which was easily replaced from Amazon.

Also, connector plugs corrode and degrade/stop the function of the connectors. First thing I would do is find all the connectors (at the splitters and junction boxes) and unplug/replug like five times to scratch through any corrosion. (Btw .. this applies to any connector - coax, network, usb, etc)

I purchased a 15 foot HDMI cable from Amazon and connected it today. There was no difference with the new cable versus the current cable, so that’s a good thing because it is just about impossible to re-run that HDMI cable from the cabinet to behind the sink to attach to the HDMI splitter. I am now doing what you have suggested by plugging and unplugging and actually I have a signal now. So thank you for those suggestions. I will do some more testing because it does appear that this is an intermittent problem, but thanks to your suggestions. I think I am now on the right track.

I had the same intermittent problem with the main TV. I believe it was the wall connector or the wiring from the wall outlet to the splitter under the sink.
I was able to run a new cable from the splitter, under the kitchen cabinets, behind the couch and directly to the TV. The problem went away.
