No power to cigarette lighters

We have a 2000 Dutch Star DP. We've lost power to the cig lighter sockets which we use for GPS and charging phones. The have had power at all times even if the key was off. Can't find any blown fuses among the chassis fuses or the house 12v fuses. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Couple things - in line fuse? - Broken wire - 20 years...... things happen so I'd look for the possible broken/disconnected wire.

This summer I lost one of my Cig lighters from a broken wire - soldered it up and all was good - mine is only 16 YO.

Look for the 20 amp fuses one may just be bad - just a simple test light will work.

Best of luck,

I hate to say it , but I've found fuses in 10 different locations in my 99 DSDP.
Four for chassis and six Newmar installed , Have you found a fuse panel in the dash that looks like the picture below .
My panel was behind a plexiglass panel to the right of the throttle , I think your 2000 might have a consul there and perhaps a lift up panel behind the gauges , top of the dash , to get to the front Newmar fuse panel .

I'm going through the same thing with my 2004 Itasca Sunrise 34D gasser. I've checked everything I know to check and can't find a blown fuse or bad connection anywhere. I've also lost continuous power to the radio and have to reset the time every time. I'm totally stumped......

Avery ; have you flipped up the dash top to get to the chassis fuse panel , in some coaches the whole instrument cluster is hinged up for fuse access. As in this photo of a Workhorse chassis fuse box.

I don't know how much things have changed in 17 years, but in my Dutch Star the fuse for the cig lighter is in the front outside compartment on the driver side.

Paul ; when things got too crowded under the dash and above the gen set Newmar finally added the compartment in front of the left front wheel to house and centralize 12 volt electrical , I'm not sure of the start year , but that compartment doesn't exist on my 99 and I'm thinking it didn't in 2000 either.
I love my Newmar and would trust the Amish to build anything out of wood and metal, but their electrical back in the day was a nightmare .

EDIT: A quick look through the Newmar brochures , shows the first pictures with the compartment in front of the LF wheel as 2004.

I sure have. That was one of the first things I checked and couldn't find a blown fuse anywhere. There are also fuses under the hood that I've checked as well as the circuit breakers for the coach. There's GOT to be something I'm missing but I have no idea what it might be. I'm sure it's going to be one of those "DUH" moments when I find it, though......

....and I FINALLY found it! There's yet another fuse box on the sidewall underneath the dash that had a blown fuse. I'm not sure why there's at LEAST three fuse boxes, three sets of circuit breakers and who knows how many inline fuses but it sure makes troubleshooting interesting.

I recently discovered that I have inline fuses in the battery bay where the connection is made directly to the battery.

Same here. My "special" 12v dash outlets have a 15v inline fuse in the front driver side compartment (left side). Easy to replace.

15 v? Did you mean 15 amp?

It was a regular size 20 amp blade type fuse. I found the mini fuse in the location marked “cigar ltr” pretty easily and it seemed to be just fine. It never dawned on me that there might be TWO fuses marked the same.
