No slide out message

On my 2004 DSDP, the message for the living room slide out has stopped working. Is there a fuse or something that controls this?

The wiring diagram , I have for Newmar slides ( got the download out of the " Files " drop box, blue bar below your welcome message) doesn't show a separate fuse for the speaker. Wired direct from the slide controller.

EDIT: And of course , now I can't find the info there, and the file is too big to post . If you would like the file , PM me your e mail address, and I'll forward it direct.
Or "007 " my be along shortly with a current location of the file here in the forums.
Honestly , I've got to start writing this stuff down.

Hi Robert-W,
When you find out how to turn her off, please post here. I'll be the first to make it happen.

X2 Gary, when I hit the slide button, the slide starts to move as soon as she starts to talk, if one was to stop and listen to her and something was in the way
I always check everything first, then hit the slide, check everything as it goes out(outside checked over good-done) and ignore the message from her........

Don't know about yours Gary, but my 99 has a separate speaker mounted under the dash next to the step well; and a dedicated 2 wire plug on the controller.

Our voice quit working, the only way I restored it was to buy a new controller. I had other problems and I thought replacing the controller would cure it, but it didn't. Found out over the weekend that the carpet edge is catching on the slide coming in and stalling it out.

Slide Control Module

Here is a the service manual for the slide/voice control module in my coach. I would assume it is the same in the 2004 DSDP. Connector J2 is the speaker wires and I think that unplugging it would cut out the speakers but not affect anything else.

Miss this post here is the Newmar slide spec for your year and is the newest one to present.
Newmar has been rebuilding COM_NET and many posts and threads on forum with links will not work.
I am in the process of correcting all the links in the QT's 1 & 2 and number # 3.
You all should look at them because I have added some new one's plus corrected old also.
When you find your control unit unplug the cable connections use some contact spray cleaner than reconnect, may have picked up corrosion from humidity during summer months.
