Old thread BUT this happened to me today... still not fixed 4095 mountain air DP all was good... except left taillight bulb... went to replace it bulb came apart in the socket.. no big deal it came out (maybe shorted it?) new bulb and now no tail or running lights turn and brake are good... 2001 has 3 fuse boxes in front above the genset.. NONE of the fuses are marked tail light... inside top dash fuse box no tail light fuse... I think i checked (pulled and looked at every fuse) and nada.... someone said there is a fuse in a fuse holder near the rear master switch? i have never seen it but? is it there and where in the heck is the tail light fuse in the front? thanks for any help... some old threads need to be kept alive there are no "new problems" just problems you haven't had YET

Hello did you find what the issue was? We have changed decoder and steering clock as when we spoke to Spartan they said most likely that was it. But we still have no tail lights or running lights. Of course replaced fuses in beginning, now looking at light switch as it is a 2 position switch. First position controls the lights we do not have second position controls the light we do have. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated

Haven't picked up coach yet but here's the take from NIRVC on why my tail lights and marker lights do not work.

MARKER LIGHTS DO NOT OPERATE FUSE BLOWS WHEN DRIVING…….. corroded pins at steering wheel encoder module. installed a fuse and at this time it did not blow right away. i checked relay and it was operating correctly. i traced wiring down to steering wheel encoder. this module takes signal from light switch in cab and sends to relay and fuse to turn lights on. when i got to harness i checked connections and at that time the fuse blew from a wiggle test on a connector. i removed connector and found green and grey corrosion on the pins. also the power wire for the can bus system pulled away from the connector. the connector will need to be repinned with all new pins. also will need to replace steering wheel encoder module for corrosion starting to show on the circuit board

DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE LIGHT INOP……. socket for brake light bulb is burned. turned on lights and verified brake light does not work on lower driver side. i got a new bulb and out of housing it worked. once installed it stopped working. the socket shows signs of getting hot and starting to melt. i can wiggle the socket to get brake light to turn on. i need to remove taillight housing to properly repair socket.
