No throttle response
Here's a new one on me. I have a 2000 DSDP w/Cumins ISC & Spartan chassis. Today I fired it up to give it some exercise. After idling about 15 min. I gave it some throttle, no response. I popped the brakes on & off and got the throttle to respond for a few seconds then back to no response.
I then released the parking brakes and managed to get full authority.
How and why does the air pressure in the parking brake side of things effect the throttle response? I don't understand period.
Waiting on spring weather in South Mississippi....

I think it was a glitch. You should have full throttle control always.

My coach actually does what you are describing. I believe it’s a normal sequence until operating temps are achieved.

Not sure on your coach/chassis
I have a 2002 Monaco that uses a Williams throttle assembly, there is a throttle position sensor TPS that can cause problems intermittently and/or fail.

From memory there is a way to calibrate it, with the key on and engine off press the pedal to the floor 3 times. I've never had to do this so not sure if it works. Maybe someone in the Newmar forum can respond.

This is the first time I have encountered this situation. The coach sat there and idled for about 40 minutes. Water temp was up to 160 and the tranny was over 100 and this still occurred. I thought that maybe it was an operating temp issue but at 160, that should have been long past.
While idling the rpm would increase to 1000rpm for a short time and then return to 800. That sounds to me like an auto that responds to a load from an a/c unit. I'm a little perplexed.

I had a somewhat similar event happen once.
Shut the engine down, restarted, and all was normal!

My DS does the same thing until you place the transmission in gear. Then the throttle is responsive.
