No TV

Arrived at a new park today which has cable. I turned off the roof antenna and hooked up to cable. Cable only worked on one of 4 TV’s. I then tried using the roof antenna and still no TV. Everything worked great yesterday at our previous park. Any thoughts.

[Moderator Edit]
1. Has cable ever worked?
2. Antenna power light on when antenna button on?
3. [Moderator Edit] When you tried antenna, did you raise it past power interlock?
I would carefully pull the cable/antenna/pwr injector and inspect all three connections.
If Ok I would try find the splitter for the other 3 TVs.
If you find anything good you can fix it.
If no joy, I would call Newmar in the AM.
Good luck.

Mike, every time you move you need to make sure the antenna booster is in the "off" setting. Then go thru the TV remote and do auto scan again for cable channels. Even if you moved a short distance the channels could still be different. Same applies for the antenna channels, just move the booster into the "on" position. On ours, green light is on, no green light is the off position. Good Luck, it has to be something simple like this if it was working fine at the last location.

I would check to see if something shifted in the basement hit one of the splitters.

Did you disconnect the campground cable when you tried TV antenna again? Your jumper cable or the campground cable could be shorted. Although if one TV is working good sounds more like something internal to your coach.

DO you have a wall plate that turns the antenna on and off or a box of many buttons?

ON the Matrix Switch (BOMB) sometimes the switches get a tad. dirty.. Sometimes just pushing buttons at random a hundred times or so will clean them.

Unless you are the original owner of the RV the Prior owner may have modified (Butchered is my word for it) the cables.

Hi MH Mike 51,

Like Mike and Cha said hook the cable up and re-scan for channels.

We cut the cable 3 years ago. We only use the antenna. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. With the DVR, when I have a signal I record a lot and when I don't have a signal I watch what I recorded when I did. We don't watch news, get that off the phone. It is normal for us to have 25-30 pre-recordings to choose from.
