I might have been misleading in my latest post, but I also want to make the changes that you are suggesting. Looking at the picture that I posted previously, I need to know how to open the inverter breaker box. I have removed the screw, but I am reluctant to pry the plastic box apart until I am sure how it is done. For comfort sake, I will cut all power once I start making the move. Another question that I have, if you are parked overnight without land power, do you shut power down on the refrigerator until you are back on the road in the morning or will the battery bank (4) carry the load? Thanks for the feedback.

It appears to me from the photo that the cover of the black box to the left in the picture swings up and out towards the top once the screws have been removed. The top front of the box seems to have some type of hinge at the top. This is only a guess.

Maybe you can Google the model of the box, Cutler-Hammer, and find more information on the Internet.

Your fridge will run during the night based on the size of your House battery bank and how much other 12 VDC stuff you have running too. Remember that you can only discharge your House Battery Bank to the 50% SOC level before it should be charged back up to Float SOC.

Here is a picture of my Inverter sub panel. Looks like yours, as you can see I have 6 breakers in about 3 inches of space, I removed one that was 1 inch wide and replaced it with a dual of the same width. Make sure you buy the model that does not have the two attached together with a lock tab. And yes you can pry the panel open with very little force (after you remove the screw).

Daniel,

I think you need to clean up your lens.
