My wife and I recently purchased a 2005 Mountain Aire DP 4032. I have owned a wide variety of vehicles, including four different houseboats. I can say that this motorhome is the most complex vehicle that I have ever owned. Does that excuse obvious quality control problems - no. But, complexity will always breed problems.
The bottom line for me is that this thing has a lot of moving parts and, eventually, one of them is going to break. This forum is a great place to go for knowledge on how to fix what breaks.

I am amazed. One day I started counting how many electric motors are in my motor home. I got to 36 and am pretty sure I missed a couple.

So that means at least 30 or more controllers with multiple connection to each one. And we should wonder why we we don't have more problems.

And we put those through an earthquake every time we tumble over these horrible roads and then are shocked and mad when something breaks!

We too are new to the RV world and have had a lot of questions and have learned a lot from these forums. I'm not rich by no means but wanted to try out the RV experience. I got a lot more than I bargained for and am still learning. I too still don't know how to post pictures and things yet myself. We bought a new 2019 class C and have posted a couple of things here as well. I am sorry to hear you are battling cancer. I have had a lot of family members that have went through it like you. Tough to handle for sure. Good luck ,Steve

Posting pictures. If you do a "Quote" reply as I have here you can edit the quite to just want you actually want to talk about by just high lighting what you want to remove ah hit delete. As I have done above.
Now for pictures. Scroll down to Additional options below. Second box is "Attach Files" Click "Manage Attachments" another box will open with a "Choose File" Click that and it will go to your computers hard drive. Find the picture you want to up load as my "Fountain" at our lot in Port St. Lucie FL. Click "Upload" it will do just that and appear in the Attach Files extension.
Click Preview Post and you will see what you are sending. If you like what you see hit "Submit Reply" and "Bob's your Uncle" you now know how to post pictures or what ever file you like.
Hope this helped.

Hey Guys;
I am the OP and I guess I opened up a big stink. Wanted let you know my slide is working, Newmar paid for it; I leave for my big trip in a couple of weeks; hope I don't have another problem; if I do I will handle it.
Without the RV I don't think I could leave my home and travel to our great western National Parks for over 2 months. DW and I love the RV life style and hope to do it for many more years. Just remember why we ALL love this life style. Bill

Bill (taratiffin), thanks for circling back. I really appreciate it when folks finish up the thread. Glad that things worked out for you.
So many people are walking around like their ‘twig is about to snap”. It is easy to see why the general population seem to have trouble getting along. We all need more RV time, and less TV (and other social media) time.
Safe travels!
