Oasis
To all. I initiated a new thread a few hours back but it was in a general forum. I thought I was in the Newmar forum so here goes again. Bear with me if you have seen the question a bit ago. I discovered a leak in the overflow tank located in the engine compartment. Ordered a new tank so I thought that I should remove the tank from the loop and did so and plugged the hose leading from the Oasis to the overflow tank. Let me preface this paragraph by saying that the unit worked through the night and into this morning with no problems before I removed the tank. Sometime during the late afternoon I discovered the red lights on the panel above the dash, zone fault and heater module fault were on, shutting the Oasis down. Upon further inspection I found glycol dripping down from where the exhaust pipe exits the floor of the coach. I have back tracked and have unplugged the hose, loosened the pressure cap, radiator cap, to see if taking the pressure off would stop the leak, but to no avail. Please whom ever might have some input let me know as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully the leak was from when it was plugged and will stop now that you’ve remedied the situation. Not much else you can do now but think positive till morning?

If the hose leaked where it is connected on the top of the Oasis tank, the fluid may have gotten into the heater and caused the fault. I would take the front cover off the Oasis unit and inspect it. Here is the service manual.

The boiler fluid expands when heated as evidenced by the fluid level in the overflow tank rising when the system is activated. Closing off the overflow tank input hose may have caused an "overpressure" in the system causing either a "blow plug" or a hose within the unit (I'm guessing here) to let loose. I would call ITR ASAP, they have outstanding customer service!! Please let us know what you discover!!

I had a build up of gunk around the radiator cap or expansion cap as they call it. Took it off to clean and reinstalled it. Fired up oasis to leak check and it leaked as soon as it built pressure. Turns out there is a crack in the neck where cap goes. Bus is in getting a new oasis. Only fix is to replace entire unit.
