Oasis Heating

We have a new 4086 DSDP which we purchased in November. Last night, in Palm Springs area, we lost our hot water from the Oasis System.

Above the front door the "Heater Modual Fault" light is on red. Turning the system on or off at the boiler outside has made no difference. The "Compressor" light flashes green and after the reset button is pushed, the light on the ignitor tries to come on but all I hear is several clicks and the compressor light goes back flashing green.

Any thoughts as we wait for Customer Service to get back to us? (We have been waiting for three hours so far)

Anyone know of an Oasis repair person in the Palm Springs area?

Hi Joe P,
Go to ITR Marine Heating Systems and see the service locations near you.

Joe,
Check your fuses for circulating pumps. They are in the metal box in the bay with the Oasis. Mine needed a larger than 5 amp according to the factory.

Even if the fuel won't ignite, you should be able to get hot water and even heat by using the electric heating element.

We had our system give out last year, but managed with just the electric part for over a month, even in some pretty cold weather. Our problem turned out to be a bad sensor -- the one that tells the system if the fuel ignited. It was igniting, but the sensor didn't work so it kept telling the computer that there was no ignition, so the computer shut the system down.

A solution has been found. After much frustration trying to contact Oasis in Seattle, the local tech determined that the compressor was the culprit. That has been replaced and so far so good.

Thanks for the help
