Oasis low water fault

Has anyone ever changed out the Float switch on their Oasis system?

Hello all, I had my Oasis system serviced by Newmar 3 weeks ago. We were on a trip when my Oasis system stopped working. I have a "Low water" fault. I've tried to reset but no luck. I called Newmar and they walked me thru some troubleshooting and we've determined that its a Low water float switch that's bad. (Both the reservoir and the green Oasis module have the proper amount of fluid). So, they had me order the Float switch....it's on the way. They tell me it's pretty straightforward to change out this switch, however, when I remove the old 1 I'll loose some of my fluid so I'll have to be ready to immediately install the new part. I hope this is the answer to my problem because the burner nor the electrical elements will turn on thus no hot water. Has anyone ever changed out the Float switch on their Oasis system?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Good stuff - I save things like this because I know Iím likely to have the same problems down the road.

Just an update....I received and installed the new float switch and it solved my "Low water" fault problem....my oasis now works. FYI, when i pulled out the old float switch, part of it was missing...fell off into the reservoir tank. The Oasis technician that I spoke with said that is not unusual and that it will be ok. Before installing the new float switch, I did not drain my reservoir as the instructions say to do, I put down a bunch of paper towels and removed the old switch and quickly screwed in the new switch. It wasn't a problem and I recommend doing it that way should anyone have to do it themselves....you will not lose that much fluid. I saved myself a few dollars by doing it myself...all is well
