Oasis Maximum GPM to Maintain Hot Water

Does anyone know the maximum flow rate that the Oasis system can handle in order to maintain constant hot water? I know that in some cases you might have to turn down the flow at the tap in order to maintain hot water. I don't want to shoot myself in the foot by changing out the showerhead to increase the pressure only to have to turn down the flow anyway to maintain constant hot water. I've also emailed ITR to ask them this question.

Thanks!

I just got the answer from ITR. They say not to expect continuous hot water from any faucet or showerhead putting out more than 1.5 GPM. They say you can try it and see what happens but not to count on it. It also depends on the temperature of the incoming water. Has anyone replaced their showerhead with a higher GPM than 1.5 and maintained continuous hot water either from the onboard pump or shore water?

How long is a piece of string? Try it and see what happens. Only you can decide what is acceptable to you.

Has anyone just removed the "flow restrictor" from the existing shower head just to see how that works ?

If removing the flow restrictor increases the GPM to over 1.5, then you may have a problem maintaining constant hot water. It also depends on the temperature of the incoming water. But try it and see what happens. Let us know!
