Oasis, or mixing valve?

Dear fellow Newmar owners.
Our 2017 has had alot of service work on the Oasis...done by yours truly.

Since new all 3 circulating pumps, and the vacuum pump have been replaced.

Everything has been well till a few days ago, the problem is lukewarm hot water.

There are no fault warning and the furnace blows hot...just not the running water.

Running the Oasis bypass switch does not increase the temp either

Questions,,,,the water mixer in in the Master Bath shower valve...correct?

If so ..ALL..the faucets get their water after the mixing valve is assume.

So my next step is pulling the shower valve off to get to the mixing valve...if it has debris or calcium build up in it, how can i tell..... is there a way to take it apart?....Or do i just get a new one?

Thanks Dave

Don’t know which shower you’re referring to, but this is often an issue with the outside shower. Check to ensure the water is turned off at the valves vice the shower head.

Dave,

Is water hot in the kitchen sink or any faucets other than the shower?

The Oasis system has a mixing valve in the distribution module. There’s quite a few posts about it. Here is one that looked like a good write up. There are others.

Dave,

The valve that controls the hot water temp is located where the three pumps are located. There is a knob on the valve but it is hard to see. I believe clockwise increases water temperature. Hopefully someone who knows will respond with more.

I'm not remembering the exact details and just tried to do a search. But....if I recall there are two screws for water temp adjust behind the shower control handle. The one for heat comes loose, backs out and turns down the water temp. Maybe someone else can chime in that knows that link or that information.

Dave
Are the valves shut off?? Not the sprayer nozzle.

The mixing valve on the shower is only for the shower. It’s part of the shower valve and doesn’t affect anything else.

Okay cool, the valves....hot and cold knobs are what your talking about? Or is there a separate valve behind the shower assy. My outdoor faucet is in the wet bay.

Thanks for the info on the shower valve, because all the indoor valves are acting the same , with lukewarm hot water.

Thanks

Yes, both hot and cold valves are turned off, and there is no dripping water present in the wet bay.

Found the problem in the mixing valve.

Emptied the bay out, took the cover off the distribution area of the Oasis, where the pumps and mixing valve are located.

Couldn't get the mixing valve to move at all, it had not been touched since new. It was stuck, finally after about 5min of gentle persuasion with a channel lock, i got it to move in both directions.

After loosening it so i could turn it by hand, i set it to full hot, got a water temp at the faucet of 120 deg, set the valve at middle setting,,,got water temp of 87 degrees, the adjusted it till the water temp was 105 degrees.

Been working great.

I assume the valve has some serious crud in it from all the crappy hard water we have had to use in our travels.

Just a heads up to yall.

Dave
