Oasis PH level

Just sharing information about checking the quality of the fluid for Oasis heaters.
I called ITR and asked if that's something I should be checking and he said yes.
His recommendation was to purchase an inexpensive digital PH tester and the reading should be 8 or above. Anything below 8 indicates it's time to do a fluid change.
I took a sample from my overflow tank and it came in at 8.7. I then checked the new container of century fluid I have in case I need to add some and it reads 9.3.
Here's a link to the PH tester I picked up.

Great info. Thanks.

When I changed out my Oasis fluid a couple of years ago, Ed Fetters, President Century Chemicals, told me the fluid should be good for about ten years. Discoloration is one sign the fluid may be going bad. Good to know about the PH test. He never mentioned that.

According to Century, turning brown is perfectly fine as long as the PH is still good.
