I know mine had a line in 07 that received heat from the engine. At 12,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains I lost all engine coolant when the coolant hose going to the AH (which was standard) burst. Luckily Spartan had put cut off valves on each end of the hose, so I went under the coach, turned them off and refilled with water just to get me down the mountain. I did not have a preheat ability since I did not have the extra pump in the distribution box. I think some confusing arises when we talk on the way oasis vs AH heats fresh water, the oasis heats it thru a heat exchanger and AH as I remember uses a loop around the boiler. So I know at least from 07 all heating systems at least the luxury line have as standard a loop installed connecting the engine to the furnace. And if you want to add preheat all you do is add the pump and switch. The method to do this has been discussed on this forum.
"The Oasis®NE-S Heating System uses an 85,000 BTU (true output)
diesel burner (12 VDC) controlled by a multi-functional electronic
controller as the primary source of heating coolant fluid (anti-freeze
and water). Two 1500 Watt, 120 VAC immersion elements are used
as secondary heat sources to provide an additional 10,000 BTU of
heat. The Oasis®NE-S Heating System heats the coolant fluid to
provideasourceofheatforallhydronicspaceheatingneeds.
Through the use of its integral distribution pumps, the Oasis®NE-S
Heating System has the ability to circulate the coolant fluid to all
space heating areas. It can also provide a supply of domestic hot
waterusingtheintegralheatexchanger.TheOasis®also
incorporates engine heat and preheat functions."
In order to get the engine preheat you add the pump and switch.
