Ok don't laugh at me
I have a 4335 Ventana
it is supposed to have two batteries for the frig and I assume 2 or 4 for the house
where are they ?
The dealer told me they were in the right rear on a slide out
I took his word - went to look at them and the only thing in there are two chassis batteries so where are the other house batteries ?

I would guess they were also on a slide out tray and I would also guess there are four of them. Unfortunately that is where my expertise ends. I think you just have to keep pulling things out till you find them. I suspect you will get some response from other Newmar owners when they get to their holiday locations.

I'm not familiar with the 2011 Ventana, but Newmar traditionally has the batteries on a slide out tray at the right rear.
You should have 2 12v batteries for the chassis and 4 6v batteries for the house. All 6 are usually on the same slide out tray.
Does your slide out tray only have 2 batteries? Is there an empty space for the 4 house batteries?

Yes the slide out tray has 2 batteries and a label that says chassis batteries
I don't see any other battery tray there .
So I looked around the entire coach and found them drivers side under slide out
just behind the driver seat . I thought that was --- STORAGE
( I would have checked it earlier but I broke my back years ago and it was a belly crawl for me to get under the slide out to check it )
I don't have my computer stuff or I would post pics we weren't supposed to be here this long but the wife's mother took ill (90 years old and we stayed to help out )
everyone thanks .............. I have found RV folks to be a great group of people , thanks again

10-4 on getting under the slide out. I've retracted the slide out if I had much to do in those compartments under it.
BTW, the batteries are usually very close to the inverter to prevent voltage drop.

The Dealer doesn't have a walk through on the RV's he sells??
And doesn't know where the batteries are?
I would have, checking the water level on those batteries the first thing to do.

Odd, I got a detailed walk through and my dealer (Flagg RV, MA/RI) wasn't even a Newmar dealer. Many of their staff have Newmar service experience, so they knew the coach well even though it's not a brand they normally sell. (They worked a deal through a Newmar dealer, since the nearest was 3 hours away. Newmar also signed an agreement that let them perform warranty service on the unit, which was the key to making this work.)

I wouldn't dare laugh at a fellow Newmar Owner, I've had my own "Duh" moment with my Mountain Aire. I couldn't figure out why my dash radio would stop working whenever I would pick it up from having a minor problem worked on from the dealer where I bought it and would start working again out of the blue. It got so that I started looking at replacement radios. I'd owned my MH over a year before the small lightbulb over my head flickered. Seems my dash radio is conected to my house batteries and the dealer would put the house batteries into "store" mode, I'd later put it into "use" mode and that's when the radio would work. Who knew? LOL I'd just assumed (and you know what happens then) that the dash radio would work off the chassis battery just like in a car. Wrong.
Hope you have as much joy with your Newmar as I have with mine.
BTW, my house batteries are right next to my generator.
Kaye

That's how I know I forgot to hit the "use" switch, after starting the coach on goes the radio and I say "AHH I forgot the use switch again".

Yes the dealer did a walk through
it has been a very hectic last few days .........
my fault , I guess I just forgot that he showed me .
It is going to take me an adjustment period to get use to this coaches - things
I was with my last coach 2 years and the battery compartment has everything in one location .
thanks again folks
