On my third Razor

Just want to inform: I am getting my third Wineguard Razor HD automatic antenna this week sometime. My issue is: the E-3 code once again (motor issue). I am slow at getting help due to, it is like going to the doctors office and not having symptoms for the doctor to see, because I do not want to cry wolf. So I use my driveway as the deal breaker now, due to the fact I get over twenty channels at home. So when I only get three not so good channels after all the factory resetting procedures I now get hold of the Wineguard help line!
Good news is Wineguard Tech support has been very supportive. I have had the system for about a year now, and about every 6 months of use is all I get so far. Use the coach intermittently monthly and very minimum mileage in the off season. $300.00 plus is what I paid. Concern after the two year warranty, if the issue still occurs, is what to replace it with.

Ideas appreciated!

We just put our FOURTH one on in February.

Talked to the Winegard Manager in charge of that product at the Tampa Show. He said they completely changed the motor mechanism and the new replacement should be much better. I got the impression that the motor change took place in production in late 2016.

We are hopeful this new unit with the upgraded motor system does better than the previous ones. We full time and move around a lot. The antenna units have been lasting about 6 months before malfunctioning.

We are also on our 3rd within a year. The current one is a lot quieter when it turns so hopefully that is a good sign.

I was just about ready to replace the standard antenna with one of these. After reading this thread, I'll wait for news the problems are resolved.

I just had the motor replaced in March, but it had failed months earlier. In 10 months I've used it maybe 4 times, so the reliability on my unit has not been very good. My dealer made no mention of an improved motor when they replaced it, but I'm hoping Winegard has taken steps to improve their motor quality.

So Wineguard honors a 2 year warranty on the razor?? I know Sony and Dometic have a 2 year warranty but did not know about Wineguard. I have yet to have a problem with ours.
