Being in Canada I had to purchase the CSA (Canadian Stuff Eh! [Eh, pronounced A] or Canadian Standard Association), I never remember which. Anyway, part of the CSA package that sells for about $750 is a different HydroHot burner, a Beckett. The Beckett burner is much larger than the Wabasto (or how ever it is spelled) which is the usual burner.
Newmar does not provide the engine preheat feature, but it is included standard on the Beckett equipped unit. Additionally, the beckett unit can be self serviced in about 5 minutes. Two screws hold in the flip out door that contains the photocell. With that door open another access door is exposed. Open that door and there is the burner noozle. Replace it, clean the photocell, put back the two screws and it's Miller time. No burner removal required.
I have been called by a representative of Aqua Hot on several occasions, each to follow up on how my Canadian version is performing. In the past I have been away and never called him back. Well this time I did and this is where I learned this info. I did test the engine preheat. The panel light lite and the engine temperature started to climb.
While the engine preheat is certainly a bonus, the easy servicing is probably the real jewel here. I must commend the Hydro Hot/Aqua Hot people for their proactive approach to working with their clients. I hope Oasis is half as good.
