My assumption would be that you and I have the same satellites. RV manufactures tend to use the oldest models for the longest times until they are no longer available. They don't like changing their installation processes either.

Tooltime2, I have been running a Hopper 3/Joey 4K configuration using a Trav'ler 1000 DishPRO PLUS (DPP) with a DPH 42 switch for more than 2 years. Like Lt Dan noted above, the need for the DPH 42 switch is determined by which LNBF you have on your Trav'ler. A DPP LNBF (3 wire) requires the DPH 42 switch. A DPH LNBF (2 wire) does not. You will also need the Hybrid Solo Hub regardless of which LNBF you have.

On the Technology forum as one of the sticky threads, Techwriter has a very detailed writeup along with wiring diagrams for the Hopper 3 and the Trav'ler. This is the information I referred to when I made my conversion from a Hopper 2 to a Hopper 3 back in 2019. I've had no issues.

Here is a reference link.

We had our satellite dish swapped from Direct to Dish. Installed pre 2019. DPH Switch was required to get the Dish to talk to our Hopper 3. Our switch is mounted on the roof but I know some can have them mounted inside. Never had any issues.
I think they are telling you correctly on what you need.
