Opinion on new purchase

Considering buying a 2020 Newmar Essex or King Aire. Is the King Aire worth the extra money? Any thoughts?

I don't know how forum members can really help you here. What have you had in the past and what is your budget. King Aire is for sure a beautiful coach, but you need to see and demo both, then make a decision that you can be comfortable with. We just faced this decision between a Ventana and a DS. For sure the DS has featured that we really liked, but we did not feel comfortable with the extra cost and opted for the Ventana.

All depends on what the extra King Aire features are and their value to you. Only you can answer that. Both are gorgeous coaches.

I do know the new 2021 King Aire has a number of new things to set it apart from the rest of the line; and a new price tag of $1,300,000!
Good Luck & Good Hunting for your new RV!

We have a 18 London Aire which would be another choice to consider. More then a couple hundred thousand dollars lee the KA and maybe about one hundred thousand less then Essex. The 200 gallon fuel tank on KA sure would be one reason to go with KA. We owned a Essex before we purchased our LA and for us we liked the price point for all the LA had which was similar to KA and Essex and the less glitzy look on LA. Won't go wrong with either of the 3.

I looked at the KIng Aire, Essex and the London Aire and bought a new 2019 London Aire. All are beautiful coach’s and the basic difference is gingerbread as I call it. Mechanically they are all the same with basically the only difference in interior upgrades. The KA has a different plumbing system, power latches on the basement doors and 200 gal fuel tank but I just could not justify the price difference for just pretty. And as Al said above, $1.3m for the 2021 King Aire is quite a sticker shock.

My opinion is I do not like the interior design of the KA - glitzy. I own an Essex and it's more to my tastes. Chassis are mostly the same too. Next coach for me will be a Realm.

I considered a new KA for 2021 till I saw the so-called improvements. We're going to take a deeper look at the Essex. I can say for 2021 we definitely don't think it is worth the extra money. If I was going to spend that much money, I would buy a Foretravel Realm Presidential and get a much better built motorhome.

2X Rev. Roy comments! Foretravel Realm is a better built coach for the $$$$$$$$. And I have owned 3 Newmar coaches.

If you're looking at both, then budget is not the issue.

Floor plan is #1 as you will be living in it more than you will be driving it.

Your partner liking the floor plan is #2 or you will not be living in it, you'll be sleeping in the toad.

All other issues, handling, maintenance and repairs, customer support, etc. are going to be subjective. Do test drives if you love the floor plan so you can feel the chassis and weight distribution/handling.

When in doubt - ask your partner about #1.

Floor plans are pretty similar between the luxury “Aire” lines for the most part.

I bought the London Aire because you get most of the meat and less of the fat.

It’s your money and your call. I would do the research and check out your vender options.
