OTA coax to the antenna failed

Can anyone tell me how to change out the OTA coax? I have read that some models (not Newmar) have a barrel connector below the roof that connects the short thinner coax (to the antenna) to the thicker long piece that goes to the booster. In my case the outside coax is RG-59, thinner than the stuff inside. The thinner section has failed, I rigged it for now but we are still missing channels we used to get so I suspect there are still issues with the remaining portion of the cable.

If this is the roof ANT their should be slack in the ceiling cavity to pull out and remake a new connection remove base of ANT FROM ROOF OR YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY THE LEAD COMING OUT OF roof to pull more slack,
Mine had a rubber boot to roof entrance.
Will just have to reseal roof entrance.

Yes roof antenna

I was able to pull out enough to get a clean connection. Once the rain down here stops I think I will remove the antenna and run a new wire. I could pull up the wire until the connector hit the opening in the antenna. I was hoping it would pass thru that so I could change the entire coax out. 16 years in the UV has turned the wire to toast!
