Outdoor Bose sound bar volume when playing music

Does anyone know how to increase the volume of the Bose sound bar mounted below the outdoor television when listening to music? Mine can hardly be heard, even at maximum volume. The only to make it louder outside is to turn up the volume on the head unit inside the coach to a ridiculously loud level.

Many of us added an amplifier at the connection at the radio. I just removed the radio dash cover and two sided taped the amp to the top of the radio and plugged in the amp.

Doesn’t the sound bar have an integrated amp? It seems that I just need to boost the signal.

Ours didn't and the only way to make it louder was to add the amp at the dash radio or add a radio in the outside TV cabinet, which my 2014 DS had.

Are you changing the dash unit to House Mode? For our 2020 Kountry Star and 2022 Dutch Star that does the trick. If yours is the same as ours go to the Menu and there is a square box to select on the bottom called House or House Mode (RV in storage so can't remember exactly). That transfers the music outside. Volume is a combination of the volume on the dash and the volume with the Bose remote outside. Unfortunately once in House Mode you lose the volume inside the coach.

If that does not do it you can call River Park 574.522.7781. They provide (but do not install) the entertainment equipment for Newmar RVs. They have helped me a couple times on the phone with questions.

Thanks! I haven’t changed any settings on the head unit. I’ll take a look for house mode.

Not sure what radio you have. We have the Sony radio and use the fader control to move the sound toward the rear. This also increased the volume to the bedroom speakers

I use the Bluetooth function on the Bose and stream via my IPhone. I have the SiriusXM app and Pandora. Since we have Direct TV the music channels are great too.

I didn’t see anything in the settings on the head unit. I tried adjusting the fader to the rear but it didn’t help much. Ultimately I connected my phone to the Bose speaker via Bluetooth and it works great. It has plenty of volume and I can listed to Spotify, Pandora, etc. This solution isn’t want I was initially hoping to achieve, but it works fine for me.

Many have to remember that his coach is a 2018 and may not have the same radio or functions that others have.

I have Sirius XM on the dash radio, so it was important for me to get that outside speaker to work. The 2019 models required an amp. It's inexpensive and only takes a few minutes to install.

We’ve got a Sony head unit in the coach with Sirius XM. It would be nice to have that outside. I’ll try River Park.

Try adjusting the "Fade" on the Xcite settings. On my 2018 NADP, by increasing the fade to the rear, it increases the volume of the outside Bose also. Go figure...

Yes,you need to increase the volume on the radio inside. You can turn the inside volume down by adjusting the fade to the rear speakers and then turn the rear speakers off with the switch on the wall. If you adjust the fade completely to the rear speakers and then turn them off, you can increase the volume on the soundbar as high as you want.
