Over Flow Port, Freshwater tank?

Does anyone know if the freshwater tank in my 2020 DS has an overfilled drain? My coach is in the dealer for some warranty repairs, 4 months and counting but that is a different issue, and one of the issues is a water leak that is coming from the peg board area. I thought at first it was the middle bathroom window that was leaking that allowed water to penetrate the outside wall and then run down into the bay. However the dealer is saying they cannot duplicate the leak at the window or from the top of the coach. While watching a YouTube video on the 2022 DS the narrator mentions that the peg board bay is directly in front of the freshwater tank. That got me thinking, I wonder if the tank is over flowing during the TOP off mode and water is running along the top of the tank behind the peg board staining the board and maybe flooding the bay? Just an idea I am exploring.

Remove the pegboard & take a look. From experience it could be a loose hose clamp on one of your tanks or as it was in my case- they had used too long of screw to secure the pegboard & drilled into the fresh water tank with it! Patched it & problem was solved.

Happy Trails

That is the area where our overflow is located.
While you're in there, you might want to make a modification to the overflow by using a longer length of hose to create an anti-siphon loop like many of us have done. Perhaps when you get in there it will already have been done. -Paul

Thanks I plan too as soon as I get the coach back. Do you know if there is an overflow port someplace?

Thanks Paul, so for the anti-siphon loop I am guessing you literly put a "S" bend in the hose or are you making a full 360 degree loop, which should do the same thing, right?

Ok , my vintage coach , the area you've pictured for the leak is too high to be from the fresh water tank it's self .
Here's a picture from a newer DS than mine with the peg board removed , showing the members modifications .

EDIT: Now that I posted the pictures , I notice that there are pex water lines up high enough to be compromised by an over length screw.

Thanks Skip, I understand about the hose now, but dang, talk about bursting my bubble. I guess water won't run up hill.

So wait, I have a chance. LOL, thanks for the help, I am going slightly buggy. I have been without my coach for over 4 months and really really need a Dutch Star fix.

Not that far , anyway .

Water lines are still a possibility .

EDIT: Two units pictured , both showing connectors in the lines , could be a bad crimp , not a screw.
Line could also vary by floor plan .

When you remove the metal shelving, you expose the pegboard wall. It has several square head screws holding it in place. They also use aluminum angle, top and bottom, on the back side of the pegboard to hold the screws in place. As you remove the screws, the aluminum will come off. Pay attention to where it was at and what position it was in. If you flip the piece during installation, the screws won't line up.

Once the wall is out, the overflow hose comes out the top, goes forward of the tank, makes a bend (half loop) above the tank, then runs down the front of the tank to a drain pipe that goes through the floor. The hosing is corrugated. I had some on hand, but you can buy it at Home Depot. I added some hose to make it longer and give me a taller loop.

At the top of the loop, drill or puncture an 1/8" hole. This gives an air relief so, it will break the vacuum if water starts to flow on a turn or during filling.

Once in there, check all your fittings you can reach and tighten them. I would take a phone camera and snap a bunch of pictures on the back side of the coach wall, above the tank. I then like to download those to a large screen computer/laptop, enlarge them and then study them to see if there is evidence of water running down that wall from the window.

Howdy Dutch Star Don, well thought out as always. I will do as you suggest, just as soon as the dealer can get my coach back to me.

I recognize that work! Thanks for reposting my pic!

Reminds me that I need to get in there to redo a couple of things wrt my SeeLevel sensors. Don’t copy how I did those!
