Overhead Lights

The two lights that always came on when I opened the door to my coach have stopped coming on, after verifying that the lights are good I also pulled out the plate that is on the door frame on the right as you look inside the coach, and all seemed to be in order. Any idea where I might look next? Oh and I did check the fuse, also these are not the map lights that are over the driver and passenger seats. I am in a 2015 DS 4369

I have the very same problem on my 2012 Mountain Aire. I was at Pueblo this summer, and had Newmar come by and look at it. They in turn sent the reps for the controller that operates these lights to look at the situation. The reps took out the speedometer/tach instrument cluster, as the control board for this is located behind these instruments. They disconnected the 12v power supply to the control board, and it reset and began operating correctly.
This lasted for about a week, and now I have no overhead lights again when I open the door, so their "fix" didn't work.
I'll be watching this post to see if anyone else has had a similar issue, and what the fix was for it.

Ye, the controller is behind your dash. It's made by KIB. Many of us have added a switch to that controller so those lights don't always come on. Sometimes at night, I don't want all of those lights coming on when I open the door.

It's a small block about 3" by 1" behind the dash. I would disconnect and reconnect yours to see if it resolves your issue. It will say KIB on it.

That's funny because part of me didn't really care if they came on for just that reason, the switch sounds like a great idea. I will check tomorrow and it may have just become disconnected because HWH just had the dash off when they installed my Active Air, don't believe in coincidences! As always, thank you Don, your are a wealth of Info.
