Pantry options

Our Bay Star 3403 has a "pantry" next to the fridge that is 7" X 26" so it is not very functional. trying to find something way in the back is almost impossible. (My wife refers to this as the hole.) Has anyone found options for pull out drawers or boxes?

I'm sure a local cabinet builder could make a pull out drawer/pantry using the factory door.

Take a look at the following from the Knape & Vogt catalog. Pick the size you need.

While that design gives great access, most of these kind of units are NOT build heavily enough to allow you to load the shelves and then subject it to the EARTHQUAKE of driving.

Our last DP came with that style unit. After several welds broke, indeed I built shelves on full length bearing slides.

I am very happy with the pantry slide outs in ours new Coach. Very functional and still allows adjusting up and down. Suggest you go to a dealer or a friendly owner and take pictures - have a carpenter copy it.

Check with Newmar and see if it was ever an option or added as a special.

If not, I would have one made that looks like a drawer on its side. The open side facing the kitchen and then put two slide arms on the back side. You could either have the door attached to the drawer or just open as normal and the pantry slides out.

Thanks fellow campers. The odd size is the biggest headache. While i have talked to a cabinet shop, the costs are outrageous.

I built this for our pantry. Works great
I would place drawer slides on bottom if I had to do it again.

Example of the pantry on our 2015 DSDP. I added the LED lights for when the Door is open.

I'd like to hear more about adding the LED lights. That looks very functional.

Had it in my MH for years and never had a problem.

That looks very similar to our space. While we don’t have the pull out drawers.

I did add motion sensing LEDs to make it somewhat useful but i used rechargable units with a magnetic base. just stick the metal base to the wall and stick it where you want it.

I needed/wanted to install some slide out shelves at home so I actually ordered shelves and slides from here Slde-A-Shelf. I have been real happy with the quality of the slides and the trays.

You should be able to figure out what you want and order everything from these folks.

I'm tempted to add some of these to the pantry in my 03 DS -- the 2 deep ones next to the microwave.
