Passenger window DS

I own a 2016 Dutch Star since October, and I recently gave up the coach a week to get a passenger window that opens up for fresh air. The window ordered does not fit. Putting a stationary window pane next to the passenger seat, makes no sense. Am I the only one wanting a sliding window? Anyway, window does not fit and Newmar appears to be confused with someone wanting to change that window??? So waiting for an answer.

Our 2016 DS4018 has the electric window option. I really like it and can't imagine not having a window that opens on the drivers side. How else would you talk to a toll agent? [emoji16]

Nah I would love a passenger window that could be opened. I can't recall if I have seen that before on other motor homes.

Tiffin offers one in the Phaeton and maybe the Allegro Bus. From what I read a lot of folks complain the the divider across the middle between sections disrupts the view out the window.

I had Newmar replace the passenger window with an openable one on my 2008 DS. On my 2015 I found it more important to replace the stationery bedroom escape window with an openable one to improve ventilation. Did you contact Newmar Customer Service for the replacement window?

Your window -- 16 x36

Hurd replacement window 16" x 36" --- "window"--- You would need to call company for a 16 x 36 window or tell them the size of opening.

Any other information needed on coach use this link.

We tried to get this done as a "Special" when we ordered our 2015 DS. The request was turned down by Newmar.

I would still prefer to have the opening window but we have learned to live with it.

We have found that the DutchStar is so much quieter than our last coach while driving down the road that we probably wouldn't want to open the window anyway.

PS window

We have a 2015 DS 4369 an d had our Dealer install a opening PS window. The window I believe was from a 2015 MA. the cost was around $500 and we have the solid window in inventory.

Very happy with the option as enables air as well as conversation on the PS without opening the door.

My wife's biggest complaint about our coach is that she can't open a window on the passenger side.

I have a 2015 MA with the opening PS window ( bottom rolls out a few inches). I am waiting on my 5th replacement window, I think both Entegra and Newmar was having issues with the windows separating. I imagine they changed to the solid for this reason.
