Ok I know this is probably a dumb question, but I am good at those. When I checked on my MH I noticed the driver side wing mirror is tilted toward the coach. I assume having the MH covered that wind etc. moved it, or when I took the cover off it moved. Due to it snowing (again) it might be frozen in place. I tried to move it but no go. My dumb question is can I just manually move it back to a straight position, being more forceful? I noticed what looks like an Allen type screw hole, so perhaps I can loosen it and then adjust? Need to get straight by Monday in any case. Thanks for your thoughts and have a great day.

Try warming it with a heat gun or blow drier. Good luck.

You don’t say if it is the mirror part, or the whole arm with the metal frame you are trying to adjust?

If the "Mirror Stem" is tilted, you need to loosen the Allen screws a bit and then set the mirror straight. After that you need to tighten the Allen screws real well. It may not be easy to move the "Arm", you have to loosen the screw at the bottom, but it takes a lot of force to break it loose. I had this done at the dealer, while I was watching.

The Allen head wrench should have come with the paperwork in the black file case

Our coach mirror does Same thing. Unfortunately after tightening it real well mirror keeps moving .

It is the mirror head. I have tried to upload a couple pictures. Hope they go thru.

Looks like you have to loosen the Allen screws at the base. Make sure you got the right size tool so you don’t round the screw socket. Than it will be big job to fix it. Good luck.

Being so cold out, did somebody bump it or did a tree or bush come in contact with it, or who knows , maybe a buck getting rid of his velvet. Look at your post for a crack before trying to straighten this soldier back up.

If the whole arm is rotated forward from the base, than you have to pull the plug out at the base. Than use a 9/16 (I think)socket with short extension and loosen the bolt. That will allow you to rotate the whole arm.

"blackhawkscp".....I'm really anal about my mirrors being straight up and down, both side to side and back to front. You can really crank on that allen and tighten them, but that's not always a good thing. If there is some movement, you're more likely to move it versus snapping it off if you hit something. Mine are very snug, but I can still bump my mirrors, to straighten them out, by hitting it near the top with the palm of my hand.

I know you said you need it corrected by Monday, but I doubt that it would prevent you from driving the coach.....just annoying. I would drive it, allow the thing to warm up and then do as I do and just bump it back straight with your palm.

I also bought a "T" type allen wrench so that it was easier to grip and gave me more tightening power.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I think it is suppose to warm up around September. So I will get creative to warm it up a bit before I try to straighten. Wish all the very best in your travels.
