We carry the Traeger PTG in the coach and have the GMG Daniel Boone Grill at home. I love the size of the PTG for travels but I think the GMG does a better job due to its size. I might opt for the GMG Davy Crockett in the future as it looks as though it would cook/smoke better than the PTG with better control of its hot spots. Bottom line that are both great grills and produce fantastic food. BTW we also carry a Weber Q2000 for our basic BBQ needs as I like to have a choice.

I have a Memphis Elite at home and a Davy Crockett for the camper. Whenever Mak releases their portable pellet cooker (who knows when?) that would be the one to look for imo. There r not many portable options right now

I have a Traeger Junior with the tailgater kit that stays in the motorhome. I also have a GMG Daniel Boone at home. They both are great pellet smokers. The Traeger Junior is a little bigger than the GMG Davy Crockett, but it is also a little more expensive. Either one should work great.

I also have a Traeger JR with the Tailgater kit. It gets shuttled back and forth between the house and the MH.I had to play with the "P" settings when I first got it, but it works great and holds a consistent temp.
I am looking at getting the GMG Davy Crockett, but that will likely stay in the MH. My BIL has one on his houseboat, and raves about it.

Howdy!

We purchased a Treager Scout pellet grill from Costco a while back. We fulltime so some places you go it’s difficult to grill. The electric Treager smoker works great. No problem setting it up on any picnic table and worrying about the heat. It fits well in our 5er. We’re in Alaska now and just smoked some fresh salmon on it and it was great.

I guess I’m going to be the guy in the neighborhood with 4 grills on his deck. Gas, charcoal, blackstone 36” and now a green mountain pellet grill.

I take the Traeger Junior, the Blackstone and the Weber Silver on trips. The Weber is used for quick burgers, the Blackstone mainly for breakfast and the Junior for smoking and/or grilling.

Grilling is part of the RV experience to me. I haven’t pinned down where in the basement or toad it’s going yet as this is grill #3 on board right now. (Weber and blackstone propane). I’ll probably drop the Weber at the end of this journey and just use the DC and blackstone.

I love the temp control, smartphone app over WiFi to monitor the cook and food temp. Pellets are easy to deal with. Now exploring rubs and smoked foods. Yumm.

Got mine on amazon. Arrived next day after the order.

Tonight's menu: RIBS
The Weber worked just fine for pizza. I made a second one just to prove it wasn't a fluke then used the pizza dough scraps to make some garlic knots!Click image for larger version

I’ve had a GMG Davy Crockett in the RV for about 2 years now. Fits on the slide out tray, but it’s heavy. Have a Mak 2 Star and a BGE at home.
