Because many of us wouldn't think of taking our Newmars on a trip without our pellet grills.

Jet got back from a trip to Creed Co where we smoked ribs, burgers, and brats on our GM DC. Worked great and made a lot of friends in the CG. Pellet smokers are the way to go!

Wow! Those look really good! And, that comes from a guy who has been BBQing for more years than you've been on the planet.

For the newbies into the world of pellet smokers make sure you have freezer space for the meat you will be smoking while traveling. If you have not done it yet try either a pork loin wrapped with bacon or a Butterball Turkey Roast. They are both very easy to do. If you really want to dig into pellet smoking go to www.pelletfan.com

We also purchased a Traeger PTG (Portable Tabletop Grill) this year.
We carry it in our slide out tray where it fits perfectly. and can be plugged in from the outlet there. It is so easy to use, and clean. We got tired of hauling our Coleman Propane grill out.
The Traeger came with a zippered cover to keep it tidy and clean and an inverter as well. Really easy and what comes out of it is terrific. $299.00

A bit heavy at 41 lbs but it is compact (13"h x 20w x 19 deep)

We like the blended pellets, (Maple, Hickory, Cherry)
You can smoke or grill or combo!

Great advice - - thank you!

We have a smoker at home and seems whatever we smoke does not last long.....LOL

I love the idea of a pork loin wrapped in bacon......Mmmmmmm!

Thanks for the web site.......just signed up and looking forward to using it.

Take care,

Ribs look Great! Curious why you cut rack in half to cook. Not familiar with DC but is cooking area to small for full rib rack? Just starting to shop for pellet grill.

Didn’t have anything big enough to marinade in.

I don't marinade hardly anything for the smoker. I put on a rub the night before I smoke something.

You didn't eat all those ribs by yourself, did you Neal? I hope that Sam at least got to help clean up!

Nope, they were thick too. I had about 3/4's of the half, some more for lunch today. Was good, a little dry for some reason which I'll work on, but first shot a success.
