Phillips TV quick fix

I hadn't gotten to the point of asking here, but my Phillips mirror tv, in the bedroom, lost picture and sound yesterday afternoon. We have never had a problem with it in 5 years. Since it backs on the west wall, and this happened all of a sudden around 4 p.m. I figured it was heat related. Looked for fuses and circuit breaker, to no avail. Let it "cool" overnight, nothing. Got drastic and read the manual, nada. Finally, called the company...and was told to unplug the unit for one minute. I did and it works again. That's the reset from too much heat, and to think I was about to call a mobile repair guy.
