Plan for adding black flush feed and backup to hose reel -- is this plan solid?

Ok, from what I can tell, Newmar uses 3/4 PEX or 3/4 hose. I think I'm going to opt for PEX and sharkbite connectors, even though this might be a bit more pricey then other options.

My thinking is take off the current check valve (elbows up from hose reel) and starting at that point:

3/4" Sharkbite ball valve.

Short Pex to a sharkbite T

Short Pex off side to a 3/4" pex to male garden hose (will then use a male to male connector). This will be a backup water input if my reel hose ever fales. This will have a shutoff of some kind.

Pex coming up from T to an Elbow, and then Pex across past water filter housing, and then an elbow down.

Another Sharkbite T with one outlet going to a short piece of Pex and then into a pex to 3/4" NPT to screw into filter housing.

Coming down from T, a short piece of pex into a check valve, then a short piece of Pex going to a ball valve, and then finally from the ball valve to a pex to garden hose thread fitting.

Finally, I will attach a vaccum breaker to the garden hose and then a short piece of garden hose from the vacuum breaker to the black flush fitting.

So, when finished, I should have a fairly neat install that will give me a backup input if my main hose fails, and the ability to run my black flush with a quick twist of a ball valve.

I currently have one of those high flow pressure regulators (non adjustable) from RVwaterfilterstore, but I might also bite the bullet and install an adjustable watts, and if so, would add some pressure gauges as well.

OK, I'm having a little issue , because all the pex in my coach is 1/2" .
Pex, and hoses are measured , inside dia.

Unless Newmar changed their plumbing over the years.

I need to check. Haven't made it out to the coach, but a recent thread on here stated they are using 3/4 pex and 3/4 hose in wet bay.

I'll confirm before buying anything.

I think what I did is similar to what you want. I wanted a built in flush hose so I didn't have to connect a second hose. I added an adjustable regulator and set it at 65psi. I never thought about it, but if my hose reel went bad, I could pinch off the hose and connect to the hose for the flush tank.

I was/am debating PEX vs. hose like you did. What's that stuff called. I'm initially sourcing all the stuff online and then may try locally (I'm pretty rural). On Amazon, every search I did just brings me back traditional RV/drinking water hoses, not bulk, reinforced hose like Newmar uses and you used.

Also, was it 3/4"?

Home Depot or Lowes for the hose.
