pleasant surprise

Since purchasing our coach in April of this year I have been trying to ensure that all the chassis / drivetrain maintenance is current. Spartan and Newmar and the dealer could provide me little or no information so I assumed the worst and began replacing filters and fluids.
I brought the coach to Cummins Southwest today to check/replace engine coolant as well as hydraulic filters. To my surprise the service manger came to see me to tell me that the coach had been serviced here by the previous owner and he had had the coolant system flushed last year, they also have me a list of all previous work done.

I was very pleasantly surprised to be treated so well. They could have easily charged me for the coolant service but didn't. Sometimes something's just make you say "thank you".

To me , it sounds like this dealership is very interested in retaining you as a customer. The kind of place you use and recommend.

Very few of those around these days.

We don't drive a Newmar product now but in cases like this it would be a good idea to post the name and location of this dealership. All are correct in their assessment. Places like that are few and far between. It would be good for all of us to know their location so if the occasion were to present itself we might have to use them. If they are located on a well traveled highway even just pulling off, visiting the shop and thanking the manager for service work that they did on another coach that you heard about on the internet would go a long way to boost their ego's.

These guys deserve a pat on the back as encouragement and for their honesty.

I have to echo Skip426 remarks. Hard to find these days but when you do be thankful. Best of luck and safe travels.

Sorry I thought I had mentioned the name. It is Cummins Southwest in Houston Texas. They are located on the north east side of town just off of 610 about 2 miles east of hwy 59 (69).

Great bunch of people they are spartan certified.

Travel safe-Stephen
