Maybe - but why not? There are a TON of affordable and well-running Class As out there, both in Newmar and in other brands. For the cost of one of the brand-new big fivers or mid-size Class Cs, people could surely get a well-running Class A. That's one of the reasons I'm asking - wasn't sure there aren't folks of these ages in Class As and just not visible to me at rallies or the parks we've been to.

I suppose it just might be that the LAST of the boomers and the first of the GenXers are just too busy to join and do "club stuff" or rallies. Hoping to get lotsa responses here and on FaceBook so that the numbers at least get towards statistical significance.

Thanks to everyone who is playing along!

I do agree that there are great used bargains out there and thats the way we got into CL As after testing the waters with a van.
I do feel however that most RVers start smaller and simpler and when they confirm they like the lifestyle and just maybe get a lttle older and softer... decide to upgrade the comfort as well.

Rallies and certain "parks" may not be the best sampling locations.
We are not Rally people...nothing against them we just like to do pur own thing or with other close friends.
And we frequent very different parks than we did w prior units.

We are also avid boaters and see a similar pattern... start smaller and move up not only in size but comfort features as well.
We now have our (ok maybe more my) dream boat a 34 ft trawler hardtop that has basically all the comforts of our 34 ft MH. My DW has however admitted that the current boat was a great decision... at the right time.
Life is good. We are very fortunate

Do I sense you were feeling a bit old among all of us ol-timers up there in Sedalia?

I’m 39, (won’t comment on the DW’s age) turning 40 in a couple of weeks. The King Aire is my birthday present, hope the downside of the hill will be a great ride! I do feel like I am a bit on the younger side of the curve with the industry, but so happy to be part of the group!

My phone is low IQ, but the Allison tranny in my big ole Dutch Star is smart. However, I don't play well with others, and haven't found a BOF that's got my name on it. Yes, I'm old, but I'm actually an excellent driver(to hear all my passengers talk about it). Driving in comfort and convenience, towing my 4x4 GMC Envoy, it's the ONLY way to go for us. I don't see many young people (and zero dead people).

Congrats on the King Aire. At 40, that's super, good for you man.

Me, ordered my Canyon Star as I turned 45. Couple years later bought the Ellipse. That's all so far, hope to move to a London Aire or higher before 100. [emoji6] [emoji41]

Dan, Paul would never use so many words! That's like his quarterly allotment of words for IRV2 :-)

Congrats, I hope you like it as well as we like our Baystar! Second RV for us, 1st was a 31' 12year old Class C that broke us in. We decided if we were going to 1/2 time, we needed more room and comfort. I got you by 10 years (63) and wife will be 65 in a few months.

We got our first RV CS @ 46/45 and now we are stepping it up to a DS @ 53/52... So some younger activities may be in order... I look at some of the rally pictures and crocheting and mahjong isn't really our thing...
