Possible 3" Puck Light repair for eight dollars

At M4 led lights, I found the 12 volt replacement. See attachment.
Saying that, slight mod that takes 5 mins.

1. Remove light from ceiling and cut two power wires.
2. After removal, remove lens cover.
3. Looking into the light, you will see two small screws. Good luck trying to remove. I now take a straight edge screw driver and pry aluminum over the screw.
4. Turn over light fixture and remove two screws.
5. You can now take out the little square pin receptacle.
6. Pull out old and plug in new.
7. Put back together in reverse order.
8. The two obstinate screws the metal was pried over, use your screw driver to align back in position as best as possible. You could put a drop of clear caulking over tiny screws.
9. Strip your four wires and attach with small wire electrical nuts. I always cover caps with electrical tape.
10. Push fixture back into ceiling.

3" Puck lights are getting expensive, a few years ago I was paying $3.50 for an entire assemble. Now I see $20.00 plus.Click image for larger version
