Possible breaking glass wash basin in center bath

Has anyone ever dropped anything down from the cabinet over the glass wash basin in the 1/2 bath and broke or chipped it? I just realized that's where I'm keeping by bottle of cologne and if it slipped from my old fingers it would hit right on the edge of the basin.

Is it very hard to replace and very expensive?

I don't think it would be hard to replace, but would probably be expensive. I think you would have to order one from the manufacturer as they are not the standard size you can get from Home Depot or Lowes. I need to check our cabinets and make sure there's nothing heavy in them that could drop.

It's always difficult to tell just how durable something like the glass basin bowl really is until it gets cracked or broken. I always thought our supposedly ceramic floor tiles would be practically indestructable but one tile had a chip in it when we first got the new coach and later discovered another one was cracked. After looking closer at one of the extra tiles that came with the coach they seem to be just a baked clay piece with a very thin color coating on top with a shiny hard finish. Talk about being afraid to drop anything--

Well.....step up to the good stuff in the plastic bottle and you won't have to worry.
