Power Steering Hose

Newmar/Freightliner has a recall for the power steering hose for some 2016 and 2017's. My question is has anyone had this done and how long did it take and what was involved.

Just got it done today 2/16/17. Took 1/2 day to get the parts delivered from Freightliner and 20 minutes to install them.

Hello my friend, I had an inspection completed about 1 month ago and the inspection turned out that no repair needed to be made. I actually got lucky and arrived at the freightliner repair shop when they opened and called a few days in advance to notify them I would be there. It took about 3 hours.

Safe Travels, David

The time required to do the work is minimal, 15-20 minutes, but as others have said, waiting for parts and an available tech can add hours.

I called Ocala Florida Freightliner for an appointment 1 week ahead, and while they didn't have an opening for an appointment, they did say they would fit me in if I could leave it all day.

We dropped the coach off at 9:00 am and were on the road at 4:00 pm, but the actual work was done at 3:30 pm as they were waiting on clamps from their parts supplier.

Ok, thanks everyone. I will call Sierra Freightliner here in Sparks before I go and make sure they have the parts.
