I do apologize for starting a new thread on this, but the search function simply will not work for me.

I have seen numerous posts about the powered front steps failing, with the most common problem being a failed gear in the motor drive assembly.

The label on my step says it's made by COACH STEP, INC. There's a phone number, but it's not good any more as the coach is an '05.

I do know that these are usually power window drives, but is there a file location that lists which drives go with which coach?

I know I can call Newmar, but of course this happened on a Friday night. I was hoping to order it from Amazon without having to climb on boxes for too long.

I feel your pain about the search on irv2 not working. I belong to several other groups and am able to use their search boxes well but IRV2 does not like me

Here's my work around that usually gets me the info I need.

Open your favorite search engine and enter " COACH STEP, INC repair IRV2" the top 3 hits have the info your looking for.

So by adding irv2 to the query I get results from this site.

There was a recall on the Coach steps last year. Call Newmar and they should point you to the correct number to call. Coach is owned by Lippert.
