I'd though about removing my OEMs too, but actually the DW likes the small visor down and rarely uses the electric one. I don't use mine, at all, but if I take it down, I have to fix and clean up all the holes the hardware leaves. I just tightened mine down and will leave it as a backup if the electric visor is removed...
