Pre-Delivery Inspection - 2020 DS4369
Just purchased this coach at large Florida Newmar Dealer last week. They will perform their PDI this week and then Im having my own private inspection performed by a level 2 certified inspector familiar with Newmar products prior to me taking final delivery.
What Id love to hear from you all is what specific things would you recommend we pay close attention to?
Having previously owned a 2016 DS4018 that I picked up at the factory, I know each model and year has their own unique issues, like loose slide motor mount bolts.
Grateful in advance for your help.

I would pay special attention to the quality of the exterior paint job. Ours wasn't as I expected, and there is a lot of area to inspect. - Paul

I am just curious at the reason you gave up your 4018 if you don't mind. The reason is, we are looking at the same coach 2016 now to purchase.

Did a very similar thing on a 2020 New Aire we purchased ,and the inspector found numerous sealant issues on the roof, and slide gaskets not fitting quite right. There were some issues such as drawers not closing perfect, refrigerator door handle loose and a few other things.
Overall I thought it was worth the $700 charge because it saved me time and expense of bringing the coach back.
After having the coach for six months, I am have some warranty issues done to fix one slide, water pump pulsating, girard awnings not set right, vinyl door covering on front door has pulled away, escape door window has delaminated and pulled away, weak aircon in the bedroom and a few other cosmetic items.
Overall the dealer has been great and the inspection was money well spent

We sold our 2016 in 2018 when we bought 10 acres in Florida. We spent those 2 years full timing it around the country, loving the coach and the country but needed to focus on our new home for awhile. With aging parents and grandkids on the way we decided to get back in. Good luck finding a 4018, it was a great coach. [ATTACH]312032

DW chiming in ... 4018 was a GREAT coach! Stellar experience! I absolutely loved it! 22,000 miles on it and I have no complaints. I used the dishwasher every day, did laundry nearly every day...everything just always worked! We didnt sit in one place for more than a few days, so the slides went in and out every few days. It never gave us any problems or headaches. Maybe because we used it so much. We had it serviced a couple times and some shade motors were replaced a couple times, but thats such a small thing for a house that rolls down the road! We didnt want it to sit around not getting used, so we sold it when we got back into the horse life. Were looking forward to getting our 2020 4369 on the road! I hope it treats us as well as our 2018!

Hi - Windows, windows, windows. Please keep in mind that no inspection of a static coach is going to show you flaws that will show up after a few thousand miles and the use that takes place while living in the coach. Our 2020 4369 is a good coach but it did have it's issues, all cheerfully fixed by Newmar.

Do you mind telling us who you hired to do the private inspection? Excellent idea!

I used Chris who traveled from Tampa to Fort Myers
WWW.OnTheRoadAgainRVPro.com
I think the cost was about $700 and the inspection took all day. While he did not catch everything, he caught enough that prevented me from returning the coach within 6 months of owning it.
